Brie Larson’s Instagram post explains Captain Marvel Vormir photos

Brie Larson has been known to be a vocal voice on social media and is no stranger to sharing snippets of her life or behind the scenes photos. For a throwback Thursday post on her Instagram page, the actress was kind enough to share some photos of herself as Captain Marvel and they provide an explanation about pictures that surfaced some time ago.

It’s not exactly clear when the photos were taken but it looks like they were captured on the Vormir set from AVENGERS: ENDGAME. There was some confusion early on about these images because Larson’s Carol Danvers doesn’t play a role in retrieving the Soul Stone, which is located on Vormir. While there was speculation that maybe she was involved in a deleted scene, this was not the case. The photos have been seen before but Larson’s Instagram caption explains that this was her first time in complete Captain Marvel attire, which was done for a camera test. Larson goes on to explain that she was still figuring out all of her moves when the photos were taken in the post pictured below:

As you’re probably already aware, even though CAPTAIN MARVEL was the character’s origin story and was released before AVENGERS: ENDGAME, Brie Larson actually shot ENDGAME first and had to try to discover some aspect of the character before becoming truly immersed in the role for her own film. Having the films shot in reverse order led to some character inconsistencies in AVENGERS: ENDGAME such as Carol’s hair and makeup, which fans were quick to jump on when ENDGAME released its first trailer.

It’s going to be a while before we Larson suit up as Captain Marvel again so it’s cool she’s keeping her love for the character alive through her posts on social media. In January, Marvel officially declared that CAPTAIN MARVEL 2 was in development, with a possible 2022 release date. There will be some changes behind the scenes with original co-directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck not returning although Marvel is said to be seeking a strong female voice to tackle the sequel.

Brie Larson is a bit polarizing because she’s very vocal and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. This has led to its fair share of trolling in regards to the actress but I personally dig everything about her. She’s incredibly talented, fun & has a strong personality that consistently keeps her interesting. Most importantly, she doesn’t seem to care about any negativity thrown her way and that makes her even more of a boss in my book.

Are YOU ready for Brie Larson to suit up as Captain Marvel again?
